" When you travel remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you feel comfortable, it is designed to make its own people comfortable"- Clifton Fadiman
Well I went to Tokyo this weekend and saw a lot! This is my second time going, first time I just visited Harajuku.
My first stop was the Tokyo flea market. I totally though this would be a locals only kinda spot but it was definitely full of tourists from all over the world looking to buy Japanese treasures. They mainly sell Japanese antiques, collectibles and vintage stuff.
As you can see from the advertising, it is very modern and pretty- totally aimed at tourists. Dang it....I though I had found a hidden gem.
Vintage Kimonos ( absolutely stunning around 4,000- 20,000 Japanese yen, or $40-200 USD)
People set up their tarps and open up their car trunks and set up all around this parking garage.
I wandered and look at about almost every little booth hoping to find a cheap kimono, and I did I found one for 100 yen! ($1) and it took me about 3 hours to look and admire all that there was to see. I wish I had more space to buy all the Japanese style home decor I saw and ceramics! After a morning of browsing I went on over to check out the world known Shibuya crossing.
Shibuya crossing the largest pedestrian crossing in the world (view from train station)
I watched people cross the street about 10 times because it was just so neat to see from the train station, then I crossed it myself!
Shibuya is such a nice area and lots of nice places to shop.

After lunch and a little bit of shopping around Shibuya I went to Harajuku area. Harajuku has a lot of cute little streets and a lot of great shopping as well.
All the shops are just tooo cute around Omotesando.
Omotesando street.
Of course I always get my bubble tea fix when I can. Green milk tea for the win.
Takeshita street, super crowded.
Softest soft serve I have had.
These souffle ricotta cheese stuffed pancakes were the best pancakes I have had in my life.
Look at this cutey I found in Harajuku.
After Harajuku I met up with my co-worker in Shinjuku. I did not take pictures of the train station there, but it is the largest in the world. About 3.7 million people use this station each day. 3.7 million folks. It is crazy. It took me about 30 minutes to find my co-worker....probably not the best place to meet someone FYI. When we finally found each other (or really when she found me...) we went out to find some food and Godzilla!
I spy Godzilla.
Godzilla on a Sunday evening, checking out all the people below.
More fun Kit-Kat flavors.
I do not think I could handle wasabi flavored Kit-Kats.
My last day in Tokyo I spent in Odaiba. I really enjoyed this part of Tokyo, it is a little less crowded and there is a lot to see and do. I shopped till I basically dropped at the malls here (dangerous). I stayed through the evening to see the city lights.
Made my way to Odaiba, and crossed this bridge on subway.
Great views from the train.
Hello Kitty cake doughnut-super cute, but not tasty. Dang it.
So much Hello Kitty! I visited every Hello Kitty Store in Tokyo looking for Hello Kitty Tokyo Gotochi (Products of Hello Kitty which has the theme of local tourist attractions) Socks, I did not find any! They all just say Japan, every other prefecture I have visited has HK themed socks from that prefectures and I have started collecting them. Tokyo please do not dissapoint with no HK Tokyo themed socks, I will keep looking.
Made it to The Hello Kitty cafe to have Brunch.
The food was adorable and actually very yummy!
Blinged out HK at the cafe.
The new Unicorn Gundam that just came out this winter 2017! So cool.
Inside the mall...It is all Gundam themed, perfect for those Gundam anime lovers.
Selfie with the unicorn.
It also moves and lights up, look at schedule for showtimes.
Ended my Tokyo trip with a nice view of New York City, JUST KIDDING!!! But seriously how great is this view. Also in Odaiba.
Until Next time Tokyo.
