18 hours in Singapore

The cheapest flight I could book from Bali to Phuket had an 18 hour layover in Singapore- if you know me you know that's actually very exciting for me! Double win. Every time I have a layover that is  6+ hours  I immediately proceed to get out and explore. Here's what I got to see and do: The iconic merlion monument and plaza. My favorite part about Singapore was finding this gem! I read about it in some article somewhere. Best and cheapest tea ever! Sultan Mosque. And I hung out a lot at the airport, the airport in Singapore is soooo cool! They have a free movie theater, free foot massage machines, tons of shopping, a butterfly garden, a roof top pool, orchid garden and so much more to see and do.

"Travel is the only thing we buy, that makes us richer" - unknown I've learned so much these last couple of days. I am generally a pretty content person, but these last few days my face literally hurts from smiling so much ( I have a resting B.F soooo that's a big deal. Story of my life. #MyFaceWontAgeWell ) Today I hired a private driver to take me anywhere and everywhere I wanted (sounds so fancy smanchy...). The place is so peaceful and if you look closely there's little water temples all over the falls, like little fairy houses. A part of me felt like I was in Oregon. After the falls, Batur took me to go watch a Barong and Kris Dance. This is the first year (thanks Ashland #unidosfam ) that I attend Plays. First of all th

" Pictures are a one way ticket to a memory..." - unknown Well I haven't blogged in some days now ( I don't plan on blogging every single day... some of you asked ) A lot has happened and my heart has been racing with excitement every single day. I am In love with the Islands of Indonesia, and I hope that you all can experience it some day. It's true that pictures are worth a thousand words, so here are some pictures and small captions. It's Tuesday on my side of the world, and my week in Indonesia is almost over. Every single time I go to a beach and go horseback riding I ask if I can take the horses into the water, thus far different state and country rules of places I have been to don't allow it. In the Gilli Islands horseback riding in the ocean is possible. I have  always wanted to ride in the ocean! My horse was swimming, I was swimming and the wind that hit my face whispered words of freedom. Goal number #35 - check!
