Paraíso terrenal

Tulum I am finally back from my birthday trip in Cancun,Quintana Roo and a day in Yucatan.  My 26th birthday was a blast, I was up and about every single day so I did not even have time to blog. I am going to try my best to recollect everything I did. Every time I go to Cancun I see something new and experience something different. Cancun is paradise on earth! One of the most beautiful places I have been to (And well of course it's a big plus that it's Mexico). At Mandala Beach on the day of my Bday The first day we were relaxed and had dinner at our hotel, the next day the plan was to go to Isla Mujeres.  That day was rainy and icky, but of course still fun! we rented a golf cart and went to Playa Norte where we got amazing full body massages ( 1 hr for 25$ !) we shopped a little and then went back to our hotels to get ready for Coco Bongo. To see the shows at Coco Bongo the price is about $70 USD BUT... what no one tells you is that if you start at the Congo and

The Secret Beach

After a wonderful breakfast today we set out for adventure. Rented a golf cart for 24hours (that seems to be the way of transportation on the island) we rented it for $50 US dollars. We explored the island a bit and headed off to the "secret beach" after about 30-40mins of driving we made it to the secret beach, which actually doesn't have a beach but instead has piers to hang out on. The water was beautiful! We relaxed a bit, took some pictures and came back to our place. So rumor has it that we might be expecting Hurricane Earl tomorrow so places are shutting down and we supplied our little home with food and water. Our afternoon was on the beach with some ice cream floaties. Tanning. Relaxing. Taking in the calm before the storm. Our hostel awaited us with the free 7pm rum and so we sat in the general area with our Missouri friends ( Ross and Alexa) and played dice and cards for a bit while we talked about our Belize adventures, our Belize wishes and our Belize

Ladies Trip to Belize

Well it's been well over 3 years since I wrote on this blog! I've taken many trips ever since. I actually forgot my travel journal and started taking notes on my iPhone and then I though well jeez I could open up that blog again.... So here we are it's 2016 and I came to Belize with my college besties! Yesterday we took a water taxi ($35 round trip each) from Belize City to San Pedro. Our real full day started today with breakfast at Estels next to the beach, it was wonderful and we got to try the fry jacks! Which are a belizean must try! They were yummy! Basically like a fry bread that taste more like a thick elephant ear with no sugar (we added butter and mermelada and voila!) Then we rented a golf cart for 35 belizean dollars an hour ($1 US dollar = 2 Belize dollars). We took a short little tour around San Pedro and stopped at a restaurant to have some drinks. After that our day adventure began- Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley! We took a boat out with 3 Aussie boys Rya
